This is my daddy.

I have much to say but haven't said it yet on here.

I will.

He was the best daddy ever and I am sorry he died when I was only 12.

I know my life would have been totally different if he was here still.

Oh, I am not saying my life is bad - or was bad - just saying it would be different with him in it.

I miss him. I miss 'something' that hasn't been here. He wasn't there to see me graduate, go to college, open a business, date, marry, travel, and on and on.

It's been 30 some years now and I don't dream about him that often but I did this week.

He was telling me to be strong and quiet.

Don't say a thing just be strong.

I suppose we get our messages when we need them, huh?

Picture of my father and me with the clock that belonged to his mother, Sarah. Aunt Minnie (Emma Soward Haley) had tried to clean the front of it with a windex type product and it rubbed off some of the paint was the story. She wanted it clean! But, didn't know the paint would come off! Smile!! We took this photo outside of my maternal grandmother's home when I was very little, as you can see. P.
