A memorial service for Mr. James Logue Whitehead III will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 30 at Highlands Presbyterian Church in Ridgeland, MS. The family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. A committal service and interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.

James Logue Whitehead III, 84, passed away at St. Catherine's Village in Madison, MS on Thursday, September 23, 2021. He was born March 19, 1937 to James and Mary Jenkins Whitehead. He was a member of Highlands Presbyterian Church in Ridgeland, MS. He was a graduate of Winona High School and played football at Mississippi State University.

Mr. Whitehead is survived by children, Emilie (Mike) Odom of Ridgeland, and James "Jim" Whitehead IV of Memphis, TN; and step children, Sonja Hanson of Dundee, OR, and Erik Hanson of Phoenix, AZ; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Carole Whitehead.
