Larry Gene Holman, 88, of Kansas City, died September 21, 2021 at the North Kansas City Hospital.

He was born August 24, 1933, in Corder, Missouri, to Forest and Mae (Duncan) Holman.
He graduated from Corder High School, then served in the US Army from 1953-1955. He married Evelyn Sparks on June 30, 1956. They started their life together in Kansas City. They moved to Raytown in 1959, where they raised a family, and were active in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. They moved back to Kansas City in 2006.

Larry worked for Fairbanks Scales for 39 years. He loved flying airplanes, both model sized and full sized. He enjoyed playing and coaching in softball leagues.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bob.

Brothers: Donald Holman of Phoenix, AZ
Jim Holman of Gladstone
Sister: Elaine Lashley of St. Louis

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 27th at 12:30 pm at the Kaiser-Wiegers Funeral Home in Higginsville, officiated by Pastor Kevin Bush of Faith Community Church.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.

He will be buried in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery
