Sharon was born in Naugatuck on Sept. 12, 1957, daughter of the late Donald Russo and Shirley (Wildman) Creech. She graduated from Watertown High School, and then went on to work in offices in several companies throughout her working career. Sharon had a caring heart, was quirky, organized, very particular, and an expert flea marketer and tag sale enthusiast. She was known for her beautiful handwriting and she began collecting smiley faces long before they were known as emojis. Sharon loved daisies along with watching the birds at the bird feeder. In her memory, please plant a daisy (or a pussywillow). Once she learned how to text, her favorite pastime was sending pictures and videos of her grandson, Calvin.
Left to honor her legacy are her children, Stephanie (Hardik) Upadhyay of Meriden, Tyler (Linda) Owens of Charlotte, N.C.; her stepson, Michael Lane of Thomaston; siblings, Eileen Russo (Mike) of Naugatuck, Sandra Russo (Bob) of Orlando, Fla., Jeffrey Russo of Thomaston, Paula (Robert) Wergin of Watertown, Paul (Stephanie) Creech Jr. of Thomaston and Judi Patonelli of Waterbury. She also leaves her grandson, Calvin Owens, stepfather, Paul Creech Sr. of Watertown, and godmother, Catherine Bennett of Coca Beach, Fla. In addition, she leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sharon was predeceased by her parents, husband and brother, Gregory.
