Edna Odeal Chronister Scott was born in Garrison above a rolling Swan Creek on February 21, 1915 to Jason Smith Stevens and Callie Nelson Stevens. She departed this life June 1, 2007 at the age of 92years 3 months and 11 days.
Edna ws converted at the age of 17 with the Baptist church and remained a member of the Mt. Zion Church(McCracken) Ozark. On June 29, 1935 she and Arthur Chronister were married and she moved to Sparta. To this union five children were born: Beverly, who died @ 2 yrs, Sharon, Sandra, Buddy, and Bobby.
Edna married Louis Scott on June 12, 1965 and later moved to Ozark, missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis, a daughter Beverly, a grandaughter Erin Chronister, two daughters -in-law , Karen Chronister & Bobbie Chronister, a sister Opal Jones, a brother Berl Stevens, and infant brother and her parents.
Survivors include , her children and their spouses, Sharon and Glen Maggard, Sparta, Sandra & Ervin Maggard, Ozark, Buddy Chronister, Ava, Bob & Gayle Chronister , Oldfield,nine grandchildren, Alan & Bruce Maggard , Marla Morgan, Mila Kirkland, Valerie Austin ,Dwight Maggard, Eric & Kale Chronister, Melissa Chronister Feuerborn, 16 great grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Many other relatives and friends are left to mourn the loss of this precious mother , grandmother, gr grandmother and grear-great grandmother and friend.
"Grandma Edna" as so many called her , has passed from a land of sin and sorrow into a land of joy & bliss.
Mother dear , you've left us in a land of trial and care, but we know some day we'll meet you in a land bright and fair.
