Michael J. McCormack Jr.
of S. Maple Valley Rd., died Wednesday (Sept. 22, 2021) at the Abslout of Allegany. Born August 23, 1941, he was the son of Michael and Helen Creighton McCormack Sr. June of 1978, in Buffalo, NY, he married Barbara Burczyk who died May 17, 2019.
Mr. McCormack graduated from Kenmore East High School and went to work for Westinghouse in Cheektowaga, NY. He retired from the Cattaraugus Co. Sheriff's Dept. working both road patrol and in the jail.
Michael was a member of the Machias Fire Dept. since 1988 and also served as a fire commissioner. He enjoyed model trains, radio-controlled planes, and was a member of the Franklinville Flyer's.
He is survived by a sister, Patricia McCormack of CA; 3 nieces and a nephew.
Services held with the Rev. Timothy Chase of the Calvary Community Chapel in Delevan officiating.
Burial in My. Hope Cemetery in West Valley, NY.
