He was born February 17, 1961 in Sterling, CO to Wayne Lawson and Sherol Palmer.
Michael worked at Basin Electric as a heavy equipment mechanic, as well as in the water treatment plant. Michael had been a mechanic for 40 years and had a reputation for being remarkable. Michael enjoyed doing a multitude of things: most notably, spending time in the mountains and scuba diving.
He is survived by his spouse, Janna Griffin; stepson, Grant Griffin; son, Caleb Lawson; father, Wayne Lawson; stepmother, Deanetta Lawson; brothers, Lynn Lawson (Mija), James Lawson (Anjanette), Scott Hall (Linda); and aunts and uncles: Nada Cain, Toni Vincent, Ronnie Cooper, Lee Lawson.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Sherol Palmer; and his brother, Todd Lawson.
