Johnny Lee Snow, 86, of Arrowhead Estates passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at his home.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory in McAlester.

The family will greet friends and relatives 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma with Mr. Gerry Langston officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Vest, Joe Carter, Ronnie Hiser, Arlie Fay Snow, Jr, Karson Hiser, John Yusko, Steve Tracey, Trent Doyle, and Allen Gorby.
Honorary pallbearers will be Beau Langston, Gerry Langston, Brett Teafatiller, Kaden Teafatiller, Wayne Barnard, Danny Standifer, John Hardy, Mark Wheeler, Mike Roby, Kevin Walker, and Ron Gragg.

Johnny was born on August 28, 1935 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Arlie Fay Snow and Eva Virginia (Slater) Snow.

He married Laverne Kay Buckner on January 6, 1967 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Johnny served in the United States Navy from August 9, 1954 to July 3, 1958 when he received his honorable discharge. He was discharged as a Machinist Mate 2, and also received the China Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

He retired from the Whirlpool Corporation after 37 years. He retired to Arrowhead Estates where he was actively involved the community with the Volunteer Fire Department, St. Jude's, the Salvation Army, and Crowder First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Laverne Kay (Buckner) Snow of the home; his daughters: Jennifer Hiser and husband, Ronnie of Checotah, Kelly Langston and husband, Gerry of Tulsa; his grandchildren: Lauren Karama and husband, Alasane of Oklahoma City, Emily Langston of Colorado, Kaelyn Nelson and husband, Christian of Van Buren, Arkansas, Beau Langston of Tulsa, Kamryn Box and Allen Gorby of Eufaula, and Karson Hiser of Checotah; his great-grandchildren: Hesston Gorby, Finn Nelson, Evie Karama, Elsie Karama, and Raphael Karama; his brother: Arlie Fay Snow, Jr. of Sapulpa; honorary grandchildren: Kaden Teafatiller, and Makenzie Teafatiller; and other family and friends.

Johnny is preceded in death by his mother: Eva Virginia (Slater) Snow, his father: Arlie Fay Snow, and a brother: Charlie Snow.
