Marlene Dawn Lane, age 85 of Holton, formerly of Florida, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the Mercy Health Partners – Mercy Campus in Muskegon. Marlene was born on April 11, 1936 in Lansing, the daughter of William Charles and Nettie Anna (Scott) Gould. Marlene had been a waitress for several years until her retirement. Marlene loved all types of animals watching game shows on television; playing hand held video games, reading romance novels, listening to her talking Bible.

Marlene is survived by her daughters, Deborah Hill of Holton; Diane Denevan of Holton; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Jackson; her grandson, Scott Denevan Jr.; her son-in-law, James E. Hill; and by her brothers and sister, Bill Gould; Betty Bartlett; Dick Gould; Mike Gould; Fred Gould.

VISITATION : Friday, July 23, 2021 from 3-3:30pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412 with FUNERAL SERVICES at 3:30pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT will be in Florida with her daughter, Denise. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Bellwether Harbor animal rescue in Fremont in memory of Marlene.
