Douglas Mathew "Spider" Barker, age 53, husband to Robin Wise Barker, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2021 at Georgetown Community Hospital. He was born May 19, 1968 in Moline, Illinois to Gloria Ann Webb Maddox of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and the late Junior Lee Barker. He was a mechanic and owned Barker's Repairs, enjoyed fishing and was an avid Steelers fan. Douglas attended Victory Tabernacle in Georgetown.

In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by his children: Kimberly Dye (Ramon) of Winchester, Kentucky, Joshua Barker, and Amber Jackson (David), both of Georgetown, Kentucky; grandchildren:
Mekhi Dye, Mykah Dye, Aaliyah Dye, Adonis Dye, Dominick Elam, Jocalyn Barker, Landon Barker, Shyann Jackson, David Jackson, Jr. He is also survived by his siblings: Denzil Fannin (Theresa), Harry Maddox, both of Anderson County, Kentucky, Rex Davis of Georgetown, Kentucky, Debra Christopherson, Judy Ann Carter (James), & Star Cummins, all from Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and Leah Barker, a special uncle, Matthew Palmatier, Jr. (Christina) of Cynthiana, Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Billy Barker, Ronnie Dale Fannin, and Tammy Fannin.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 12 noon until the time of the
service at 2pm at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Connie Jackson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Georgetown Cemetery with pallbearers: Joshua Barker, David Jackson, Ramon Dye, Charlie Black, James King, and Bobby Sturgill
