Pickens, SC - Mrs. Sarah Ellen Turner Brown, 99, wife of the late Samuel Roy Brown, Jr. of Pickens, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Mrs. Brown was born in Pickens County on June 11, 1922 to the late Walker Anderson and Susie Adams Brown.
Mrs. Brown is survived by a son: Tony Brown (Vonda) of Pickens; four grandchildren: Shelley Kelly (Chad) of Greer, Walker Brown (Rachel Cooley) of Greensboro, NC, Jesse Brown (Lindsay) of Knoxville, TN, and Rachel Harvell of Greensboro, NC; five great-grandchildren: Camdyn Breazeale, Samuel Breazeale, Bennett Brown, Harper Brown, and Marshall Harvell; and Camdyn and Samuel's Mother: Michelle Breazeale Horton.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by a daughter: Susan Kay; a grandson: Richie Breazeale; and nine siblings: Elford Turner, Dorothy LaBoone, Earl Turner, Floyd Turner, Bruce Turner, Ressie Keith, Essie Medlin, Beulah Davidson, and Calvin Turner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Pickens First Baptist Church with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
