Richard Edward Muller, age 91, of Jackson, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

Richard was born on December 31, 1929 in West New York, NJ to Catherine and Joseph Muller and raised in North Bergen, spending summers at Rockaway Beach, NY with his family and friends. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

When starting his family he served as a Police Officer with the Oakland, NJ Police Department for 6 years. Richard later settled in a position as the Shipping Manager for Aeroil in South Hackensack, NJ.

Richard spent many summers with his wife and family on Long Beach Island since 1962. He was a member of the Ocean Acres County Club for many years, where he enjoyed the game of golf and spending time with his family. He enjoyed celebrating special occasions and golfing as a member of the Playboy Club in Vernon, NJ and often spent time with his family and friends at the Quiet Man Tavern in Dover, NJ. In his spare time he enjoyed the challenge of deck building and performing internet searches for his family and friends. He and his wife began splitting their time between Jackson and Sarasota 17 years ago. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all.

Richard is predeceased by his beloved wife Ruth and brother, William. He is survived by four children, Cheryl A. Klein and her husband Keith, Richard D. Muller, Joyce M. Coughlin, and Barbara L. Cruickshank and her husband David; a son-in-law, Vincent Coughlin; seven grandchildren, Nicole and her husband Brian, Sean and his wife Laurel, Danielle, Kimberly, Andrew, Katriel, and Kayanna and sisters Kathleen Arnold and her husband Gunther and Dorraine Beleno.

His memorial service will be conducted at the BG William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562 on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 1 p.m. Those attending should arrive at the cemetery's welcome center by 12:45 p.m.
