Robert Wilson "Bob" Willis, 79, of Taylorville, passed away at 1:48p.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 5, 1942 in Mulberry, Illinois, the son of William Wilson and Ina Bell (Elmore) Willis. He married Mary Ann Dilley on July 1, 1983 in Taylorville. Bob worked for many years as a meat cutter at My Store in Taylorville before working for Wick Buildings. He retired as a foreman, working at Asgrow in Stonington. Bob will be remembered as a hard-working man who enjoyed spending time outside and woodworking. He enjoyed watching westerns. Traveling was also a joy for Bob and Mary Ann, especially trips to Branson and to Seattle to visit his family.



Bob is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Willis of Taylorville; children: Tina Hamm (David Morrissey) of Taylorville, Tammy Lytle of Beachwood, Kentucky, Patty Willis (Larry Ingram) of Toledo, Robby "Chuck" Willis of Seattle, Washington, and Jimmy Willis of Las Vegas, Nevada; step-children: Mary Durbin (David "Termite") and Bob Jones both of Taylorville; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and step grandchildren; siblings: Harry, Mannie, Mike, Jerry, Shirley, Ann, Kay, Donna, Dana, and Della; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter: Robin Lynn Willis; and siblings: Albert, Billy, Gene, Artie, Curt, Larry, and Rose.



The funeral service for Bob will take place at 6:00p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Pastor Jim Ferrill officiating. Visitation will take place from 5:00p.m. until the time of the service. Following the service, Bob will be cremated an inurnment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
