Gregory Ramon Miller, 67 of Columbus, OH passed unexpectedly on September 2, 2021. Greg was born June 28, 1954 in New York City, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents Calvin Miller and Eunice (Brown) Miller-Baer and his daughter, Sandra Dee Morales.

Greg is survived by his daughters, Alicia Miller, Elizabeth Dabney (Jamaine) and Carmen Carver (Derk); brother, Garrick Miller (Dawn); 16 grandchildren, Kiana, Kailah, Reginald Jr. and Leah Wiley; Jamaine Jr., Jasmine, Janelle and Jayden Dabney; Alexus, Analiese and Angel Jr. Morales; Hayley, Stanley III and Danielle Campbell, John and Karlie Carver. He also leaves 5 great-grandchildren and a loving host of family and friends.

Raised in Montclair, NJ, Greg attended New York Military Academy and Miller School of Albemarle in Virginia. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University. Greg served his country in the National Guard from 1973-1975 and United States Army from 1975-1983. After completion of his military service, he began a 30 year career in corrections for the state of Ohio. He worked at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville for the majority of his career, rising to the rank of Captain and continued at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville before retiring in 2014.
Greg was a fun-loving jokester and a big man with an even bigger heart. He remained actively involved with local Veteran groups. He loved all kinds types of music and karaoke was his jam! He was a DJ for many events, known as "DJ Ramon" and" DJ G-Mills". He thoroughly enjoyed engaging with his clients, friends and family. Much to his fellow Ohioans chagrin, he proudly rooted for University of Michigan Wolverines against the Ohio State Buckeyes in football. In recent years Greg drove cars to and from auctions to keep busy and meet new people.

Greg was very loved by many and will be sadly missed. Greg's family will hold an inurnment service on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2:00PM at the Dayton National VA Cemetery, 4400 West Third St., Dayton, OH 45428.

Memorial donations in Greg's memory may be made to your local Veteran Administration office.
