Tellas Paul Flores, Jr.
March 11, 1958 ~ September 11, 2021 (age 63)

On March 11, 1958, Tellas Paul Flores Jr. was born to Tellas Paul Flores Sr. and Ethel Lang Flores in Pleasanton, California. He was the first-born son and eldest of four children.

In Feb 1978, he enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 19. He spent the next 21 years proudly serving across the globe. He was also a war time veteran having been a part of the Gulf War. He was honorably discharged after 21 years as a Master Sergeant Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor.

He transitioned out of military life into civilian life by becoming an IT professional. He worked in several positions from Networking Engineer to Systems Administrator and in various locations such as California, Korea, and Japan. He retired briefly in the Philippines before returning back to the US to be closer to his family.

After returning to the US, he made his home in Longview, Texas, where he is survived by his wife, Jeana and his three children, Jasmine; Jasper; and Jacinth. He leaves his memories to his sister, Marilyn; younger brothers, Anthony and Michael; niece, Kristina; grandchildren: Kairon, Keira, Jace, Raiden, Ilylah; and a beloved host of relatives, friends, and church community.

Tellas was an anchor for the Flores Family. He was a man of integrity, love, and the Christian faith. He was always striving to learn, to improve his skill set, and to be the best version of himself he could.

Tellas was determined; never giving up on any goal he set his mind on, never afraid to start over. He instilled in his children the importance of working hard, continuous learning, always being true to yourself, and loving your neighbor. Through good memories and bad memories, he will be greatly missed and forever loved.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home. A Life Celebration funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Longview on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.
