Helen was born December 19, 1918, in Harrison, Nebraska, to James Walter and Florence Mae (Moon) Miller. She was born during and survived the Flu pandemic of 1918.
Helen attended school until the 10th grade. She married Elmer Leigh "Swede" Butler on January 6, 1936, at Gering, Nebraska. They moved to Idaho in 1948. Helen had a career as an upholsterer and enjoyed reading, dancing, racing, and needlework. She raised three good sons and had the ability to see the good in everyone.
Her parents, Walter and Florence Miller; husband, Swede Butler; brother, Dale Miller; and sister Dortha Mae Ramey preceded her in death.
Helen is survived by her three sons and their spouses, Walter Lee "Bud" and Delores Butler, Larry William and Deborah Butler, Gerald Dennis and Sandra Butler; three granddaughters, Lori Leigh Butler, Jencina May Butler, and Noelanni Louise Butler; four grandsons, Mark William Butler, Larry Alan Butler, Scot William Butler, and William Dennis Butler; six great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
