From Kate Kelley, at The Photo Angel® on facebook : "Eugenia's father was a famous American pipe organ builder. She married Ernest Shorrock in Boston in 1917 and the couple raised three children. Her granddaughter shared that Eugenia was a very "proper" Boston woman of her day but also a lover of reptiles, birds, and any other oddities she could find. Through my research I learned that she owned a gift shop in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The back of this photo reads, "She is holding a Gila monster. He may be only a little reptile, but he is deadly poisonous if he bites with his back teeth."
