Helen H Thompson, Grand Forks, North Dakota, formerly of Velva, North Dakota, died July 12, 2021.
Helen, the daughter of Mike and Clara Hubsky, was born on the family farm in near Max, ND, on September 5, 1927. She grew up on the same farm until boarding in Minot, ND while attending high school where she graduated in 1945. She taught school for a year at a one room school and also performed administrative tasks for several employers.
On May 5, 1946, Helen married Duane Thompson and they made their home in Velva, where they raised their five children.
She is survived by her daughter, four sons, nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Duane, parents Mike and Clara Hubsky, brothers Raymond, Charlie, Arnold, Roy, and sisters Evelyn Ribb, Marion Gregoire, and Georgina Jones.
A graveside memorial will be held On September 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., at the Velva, ND Cemetery.
