Doris Jeanne Mason, age 95, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2021. She was born December 15, 1925 in Newcomerstown, Ohio to Melvina (Wigfield) and James Marshall Norman. Shortly after the end of WWII, she married and shared her life with Norman F. Mason, who preceded her in death in 2004. Her death was also preceded by the the loss of two sons, James and Norman, Jr., a grandson Anthony Mason, and great-granddaughter, Jessica Mason.

Doris was happiest when she was surrounded with children. She freely shared her warm hugs and abiding faith with family, extended family, friends and neighbors. Doris was a longstanding member Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish in Grove City, Ohio. She was a member of Everals Chapel Preservation Society, First Families and Pioneer Families of Coshocton County Ohio. Doris' research of her family genealogy often led her to the small country chapel she affectionately called, Everals. Her life was a living example of the bible verse, Proverbs 17:6 "Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children."

Left to cherish Doris' memory are her son, 3 daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, great-great-grandson, 3 step-grandchildren, and many extended family members.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mt. Carmel Hospice and Meadow Grove TCC. In lieu of flowers, we ask those who cherish Doris' memory to honor her by spreading kindness in our world.
