Howard Eugen Davis, "Iron Man", 75, of Owensville, Missouri, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Howard Eugene Davis, was born in Sullivan, MO, August 1, 1946, to Raymond E. and Ruth E. (McCune) Davis. He was united in marriage to Mary E. Blankenship on September 2, 1967 at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church.

Howard began working at a young age. He worked hard to build a life for him and his family. He believed in a hard day's work and helping others no matter who. He enjoyed farming, mowing grass, and teaching his grandkids. Howard Davis may have had a stern exterior but had a huge heart that was seen by many through his many acts of kindness and generosity. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten.

Howard is survived by his wife Mary Davis of Owensville, MO; three kids: John Davis & wife, Trice, Brian Davis & wife Deana, and Sara Loeb & husband Jesse; eight grandchildren: Nick Shea, Brendan Shea, Tabitha Davis, Shayla Dicus & husband Brandon, Tristan Davis, Hayden Loeb, Jansen Loeb, and Hudsen Loeb; one brother Bob Davis & wife Peg; one sister Marilyn Hongisto; in-laws: Teddy Blankenship & wife Darlene, Margie Carey, Therese Wehmeyer & husband Ron, Linda Blankenship, Brenda Stoddard, Laverna Davis, and Sharon Fann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ruth Davis; his in-laws Vernon and Bertha Blankenship, Eva Blankenship; three brothers: Lawrence, Donald, and Bill Davis; one sister: Carol Davis; brother-in-laws: Sonny, Johnny, and Ervin Blankenship, Gene Carey, Butch Hongisto; nephews Danny Davis and Scott Carey.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Eaton Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church in Japan, MO. Interment will follow at Holy Martyrs cemetery.
