Penny Rae Jordan, 69, of Anson, passed away in Abilene on Sunday, September 19, 2021. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bethel Funston Cemetery, under the direction of Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home.
Penny was born in Abilene on May 19, 1952, to Doris (Copeland) and George Berry. In 1970, she married Noel Jordan in Stamford, Texas. Penny was a lifetime resident of Jones County and worked in the Bakery at Walmart. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Penny enjoyed cooking, sewing, and reading.
Penny is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Penny is survived by her children, Sondra Mata and Rafael Hernandez of Abilene, Laynette Wright and Daniel of Clyde, Shane Jordan and Jamie of Anson, Brandon Jordan and Jaimie of Abilene; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Ronny Berry of Wolfe City; Uncle Loy Berry of Ponder; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
