Paul/Fordo/Chief was the kind of man who didn't know a stranger. His charismatic nature and optimistic personality were unmatched. He had an energy about him that was contagious and seemed to spread like wildfire. Not only did Paul have quite the sense of humor, but a beautiful empathy towards others. Paul wasn't afraid to express himself and was known for being sentimental and heartfelt in his interactions. He had a gift for making others feel special and good about themselves. Even through his recent battle, he would remind his loved ones "the only thing you can control is your attitude" and he lived that positive notion til the end.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, John Learned Ford. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Lynn; his daughter, Leah; his mother, Judith Lee (Salone) Ford of North Canton; his brother, John Eric (Melissa) Ford of Columbus; his sister, Sara (Marshall) Hyzdu of Cincinnati; niece and nephews, John Wagner, Ellie, James, Teddy, and AJ; and many other loving family members and friends.
The family would like to thank Faith United Methodist Church, Summa Hospice, the Danbury Glen community where they built their home, and so many others for the outpouring of love and prayers through this time. A special thank you to our mother and step-father, Cheryl and Edward Straka for their support and loving care.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 2nd at 11 am at Faith United Methodist Church in North Canton with calling hours preceding the service at 9:30 am.
