Mrs. Mary Oliver
Mrs. Mary Margaret Oliver died Saturday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. Thomas, Ogden, Utah, at the age of 78 years 2 months, 4 days. She was the oldest child of J.Q. and Eliza Wallsinger and crossed the plains in a covered wagon at the age of 4 years with her parents, her grandfather Woodell and his four sons, coming to the Grande Ronde valley in 1862. Mary Margaret Wallsinger married E. W. Oliver Sept. 1, 1878. She is survived by nine children: Charles Erwin Oliver, Moscow, Ida.; Mrs. Minnie Thomas, Ogden; Roy Oliver, Bonneville, Ore.; Ray Oliver, Murtaugh, Ida.; Wendell Oliver, Chico, Calif.; and Stella Oliver, Lyman Oliver, Ruth Yarnell and Warren Oliver, Portland; three sisters: Catherine Woods, Portland; Bertha Wallsinger, La Grande, and Martha Jane Moss, Alicel; and two brothers, M. Everette Wallsinger and W. Thomas Wallsinger, Alicel.
