DEATH: "News and Courier" December 20, 1960 Mrs. Vina Jeanette ["Nettie" Todd] Owens died December 20, 1960, a daughter of the late William Todd and Susan Edge Todd and passed her entire life in Myrtle Beach. Her family donated the land for the First Baptist Church to build in Myrtle Beach known as the Edens Baptist Church. She was a charter member of the now First Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Hawly R., R. Park and Ellison J. Owens, all of Myrtle Beach; four daughters Mrs. J. H. Cooper and Mrs. W. F. Simmons, Myrtle Beach, Mrs. H. D. Wihelm, Roanoke VA, and Mrs. Glenn, Crescent Beach; a brother William T. Todd, Murrells Inlet; 19 grandchildren eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
