Lorrie Lou Skinner (Allen) was 62 years old when she decided to join her husband Alan Skinner in Heaven September 19, 2021.

Lorrie graduated from Mancelona High school in 1977, and Bakers College four years after that earning an associate's degree. Shortly after college she met her first husband who gave her two children Leann Mallow(Stott) and Joseph Stott.

Lorrie loved playing Bingo, card games, Scrabble, cats, and crosswords. She also loved playing the piano, and did so whenever she got the chance. She also never shied away from speaking her mind, whether you liked it or not. Lorrie also had a very steadfast faith in her Lord, which she was also not afraid to share.

Lorrie leaves behind her two kids Leann, and Joseph and her four grandchildren Scott Jr, Tyrel, Connar, and Leila. As well as four siblings Patricia Weatherholt, Chester Allen, Heidi Allen-Wilkenson, and Todd Allen. Also several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Lorrie was preceded in death by both her parents Joseph W. Allen, and Sherry Allen, a sibling Joe jr, and her husband Alan last year.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26 at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Pastor Mark McCool officiating. Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m.

Arrangements are in the care of the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
