Kenneth A Hunt, age 79, of Bayfield, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at his residence. He was born October 7, 1941, in Ashland. His parents were Robert and Clarice Hokenson.
In 1959, he graduated from Bayfield High School. On October 17, 1963, he married Janet Weber, in Bayfield. For two years, he worked on the Thomas Wilson ore boat. Kenneth worked at Lake Superior District Power Company, which now is Xcel, from 1961 until his retirement in 1997. He also worked as a logger and as a landscaper, who did bricklaying, retaining walls, and sidewalks. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, working, and drinking a cold beverage.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet, Bayfield; a daughter, Sherri (Curt) Denton, Pacheco, CA; a son, Robert Hunt, Waconia, MN; a brother, John (Sharon) Hunt, Bayfield; and a sister, Nancy (Jerry) Wilhelm, Washburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Bratley Funeral Home, in Washburn, with Mary Meierotto officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday, at the Bratley Funeral Home, in Washburn. Private interment will take place at a later time in the Greenwood Cemetery, in Bayfield.
