Mr. Martin was born July 20, 1934, in Forrest City, and was the son of Charles Edward Martin and Minnie Martin. He lived in Forrest City most of his life, was retired from Eaton Corporation and was owner of Crane & Hoist Services, was a Veteran of the Air Force, and was a Baptist.
Mr. Martin married Martha Ann Scott in 1955, and she survives him along with one son, Clifton Edward Martin, and wife, Bobbie, of Forrest City, two daughters; Terry Ann Rumley, and husband, Harry, of North Carolina and Lois Elaine Curle, and husband, Donald, of Bartlett, Tennessee, seven grandchildren; Drake Martin, Anthony Tyson, Richard Tyson, Ellie Curle, Megan Rumley, Nikki Blount, and Kimberly Rumley, and four great-grandchildren.
