Martha Ann Martin, age 86, of Forrest City, died Sunday, September 19, 2021. She had been in poor health for the past month.
Mrs. Martin was born April 10, 1934, in Forrest City, and was the daughter of Thomas D. Scott and Bessie Duty Scott. She lived in Forrest City most all of her life, was retired from the Forrest City School District, was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma, and was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Martin married Loyd Martin in 1955, and he preceded her in death in 2021. She is survived by two daughters; Terry Ann Martin Rumley, and husband, Harry, of Cary, North Carolina, and Lois Elaine Martin Curle, and husband, Donny, of Bartlett, Tennessee, one son, Clifton Edward Martin, and wife, Bobbie, of Forrest City, one brother, Billy Scott of Jonesboro, seven grandchildren; Drake Martin, Anthony Tyson, Richard Tyson, Ellie Curle, Megan Rumley, Nikki Blount, and Kymberly Rumley, and four great-grandchildren. She had one son, Tommy Martin, who preceded her in death.
