Mary Louise Bailey-Brock, age 94, passed away peacefully and went home to the Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2021.  Mary Lou touched many people's lives during her 94 years, and she truly was caring and nurturing to everyone.  Even when her memory was fading, she always shared a loving smile with all around her.  She was born on April 8, 1927, in Shiro, Texas, to Clayton Walter Bailey and Rosa Klodginski Bailey.  Mary Lou graduated from Bellville High School and then attended business school in Houston.  Mary Lou met Lloyd H. Weaver and they were married on February 8, 1946, and they had three children.  They lived in Southeast Houston and were actively involved at Temple UMC.  During their time together, the family enjoyed many summers camping and fishing at Lake Sam Rayburn.  Shortly after their 25th wedding anniversary, Lloyd passed away on March 7, 1971.  After about five years, Mary Lou met Reginald C. Brock, a Methodist minister that had lost his wife of many years and they married on May 1, 1976.  They moved around to several churches in Texas and eventually moved back to Houston after Reginald retired from the ministry.  They enjoyed 23 years of marriage until his passing on October 27, 1998.  Mary Lou then moved to Livingston, Texas to live with her daughter, Sharon L. Harris.  Since they were both single, they referred to themselves as "Mom and Me" and both were very active in the Methodist church in Livingston.  They enjoyed going on a Caribbean cruise and many other trips across the country until Sharon passed away on December 14, 2010.  Mary Lou moved back to Houston and continued to spend time with family and friends.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Mary Lou is survived by sons Clayton Weaver (Loren), Paul Weaver (Denise), stepdaughter LaNell White (Lawson) and stepson Dwayne Brock (Peg).  Grandchildren Kenneth Simmons, Jamie Weaver, Darren Weaver (Erika), Erin Weaver (Mark), Kyle Weaver (Courtney), Debbie Deen (Bobby), Randy White (Rhonda) and Alan Brock.  She also has 11 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude for the loving care provided to Mary Lou by the staff of Avanti Senior Living at Towne Lake, Heart to Heart Hospice and Mimi's Caring Angels.  The loving and compassionate care was a tremendous comfort to the family.
