Charles was born August 24, 1944, in Brooklyn, NY, to Charles Beck Jr. and Alice M. Beck (née Nelson).
He was the husband of Ana (Valerio) Beck. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary last December. After high school in Brooklyn, he soon after began working for the New York City Transit Authority. While raising his family, he lived in Patterson and North Babylon, NY. Following retirement, in 2005 he moved to Knoxville, TN, where he lived for 14 years. In 2019, he returned to the northeast and settled in Bangor, PA.
Charles was a Supervisor for the New York City Transit Authority Union. He enjoyed photography and anything car-related and was an avid NASCAR fan.
In addition to his loving wife Ana, Charles is survived by four sons Charles (Glenville, NY), Timothy (Fairfax, VA), Richard (Bangor, PA) and John (North Babylon, NY), two sisters Bettie Campbell (Lockport, NY) and Alice Ryan (Glendale, CA), eight grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Laura Jane Baranowski and Florence McLoughlin.
Graveside service will be held at a later date at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury, NY. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA.
