Martha loved teaching children's Sunday School classes at Noble Avenue Baptist Church, West Guthrie United Methodist Church, and at Meridian Community Church. She taught herself to play the piano on the family pump organ and her grandmother's piano. She loved to play the piano and sing old-time favorite hymns.
Survivors include two sisters, Carolyn (Cecil) Hamilton of Harrah, OK, and Nelda Brown, brother, Allen (Sheri) Brown, and brother-in-law Delbert Maker, all of Guthrie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
