Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Watson & Sons Chapel with Bro. Son Windham officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in San Augustine County.
Born September 3, 1950, in Shelby County, Jo Ann is the daughter of Archie Talmage Barbee and Faye Holland Deason Barbee. She was a member of Old Salem Missionary Baptist Church and Daughters of The Republic of Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Hugh W. Rushing; daughters, Kimberly Sue Rushing Davis and husband John, Amanda Jo Rushing Wiggins and husband Brandon, and Pamela Faye Rushing Taylor and husband Justin
