V. Lucille Ratzlaff, 83, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Society in Hays, KS. Lucille was born on October 28, 1936, in Bakersfield, CA, the daughter of Steve and Frances (Robbins) Underwood. She graduated from Wellington High School. Prior to managing a shoe store in Newton and Wichita, she worked in the veterinary clinic for Dr. V.D. Lundstrom. She was a member of Wheatland Baptist Church. Survivors include: three children, Mark Bunner (Coraleen) of Pfeifer, KS, Sheila Inman (Ralph) of Lillington, NC, and Robert Bunner of Newton, KS; sister, Louise Hughes of Topeka, KS; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Underwood, mother & step-father, Frances and Laurence Smith, sister, Bernice Peppiatt, and granddaughter, Sarah Bunner. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 5, 2020, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Post officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral time on Monday. Burial will follow the service at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg. Memorial donations may be given to Wheatland Baptist Church in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
