Kenly-Virginia Hinnant Jackson, 87, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Johnston County on May 30, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Delia Hinnant and Lula Richardson Hinnant. She was the wife of the late James Turell Jackson.

Virginia is survived by her four sons, Larry Jackson, Johnny Jackson (LeighAnne), Randy Jackson (Michelle), and Rodney Jackson (Tracey); four grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan, Tyler, and Brody; and two great-grandchildren, Kaden and Kinsley.

Virginia was a dedicated and faithful member of Kenly Church of God where she used her many God-given talents. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing her Lord's praises. Virginia was an outstanding cook, and was well known for her State Fair Blue Ribbon and Best of Show Biscuits.

A service to celebrate Virginia's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2021 at Kenly Church of God. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. as well as following the service at the church. Interment will be private for the family at the Kenly Cemetery.
