Raymond Steward Hawkins, age 70, of North Charleston, SC passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Raymond was born March 16, 1951 in San Diego, CA. Son of Richard S and Edna Campbell Hawkins. He is survived by his brother Rickter L Hawkins (Stella Moore), step-son Doug Christensen of California and step-daughter Christina Christensen of Missouri. Ray enjoyed motorcycling and takings photos while on the motorcycle trips he took. Ray was a Sp4 US Army veteran, who job was training people to drive the A1A Tank. SPC4 Hawkins enjoyed riding Triumph motorcycles with his brother since the 1970's and with his friends. He working as a machinist for Metal Trades in Young's Island, SC for (30) years. SPC4 Hawkins was a loving husband of (40) years, father and grandfather. A Life Well Celebrated Service will be on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Carolina Memorial Funeral home Chapel at 1 pm. Burial will follow in the Carolina Memorial Gardens with Army Military Honors supported by the Patriot Guard Riders.
