Mark "Markie" Gregory Hollingsworth, age 50, of Linton, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Linton, IN on August 13, 1971, the son of Mark A. (Lindsey) Hollingsworth & Suzanne Hubbell.
He was a 1990 graduate of Linton High School. He was a carpenter for over 20 years and a former member of Local 546 of Vincennes. He was also a member of Linton First Christian Church. He has always been an active and big supporter of Linton-Stockton High School baseball.
Markie is survived by his father, Mark A. (Lindsey) Hollingsworth of Linton; son, Logan (Taylor) Hollingsworth of Linton; brother, Matthew David (Sara) Moore of Linton; granddaughter, Layla Hollingsworth.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on September 24, 2021, with James Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, and on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Linton Baseball team through the funeral home.
