Stanley Henry Cluff was born at home in Tenstrike, Minn., to E.E. Cluff and Margaret G. Schultz Cluff on Aug. 20, 1917. Stan was one of 13 children. He married Ella Westberg on Dec. 21, 1940. Stan served his country in the U.S. Navy from May 8, 1944, to Jan. 10, 1946. He and his family lived in the Mapleton/Swisshome area where Stan worked in the local lumber mills. Stan died at his home in Florence, Oregon on Sept. 7, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, wife Ella and daughter Cleo Cockman. He is survived by son-in-law Witte Cockman; daughters, Connie Cluff and Carla Dutcher; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
