David Dean Tierney, 75, of Uniontown, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at his residence, with his beloved Chyrel, by his side, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 4, 1945 in Akron, the son of the late John and Grace (LeMaster) Tierney. Dave was a lifelong resident of Springfield and was employed with Teledyne Monarch Company for many years. He is survived by his children, David B. Tierney of Akron, Brian (Lisa) Tierney of Westfield Center, and Stacie (David) Einloth of Suffield; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all his nurses, doctors and caregivers that provided for his care and support. According to his wishes, he asked for no services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Hecker-Patron Funeral Home assisted the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to any local animal shelter.
