Mrs. Aletta A. Querry, widow of John M. Querry, passed away at the home of her son, Alvah P. Querry, of 419 Eleventh street, on Friday afternoon, March 12, 1937, at 3:30 p.m.

She was the daughter of John and Aletta (Haas) Apgar and was born at High Bridge, N.J., on April 2, 1844. At the time of death she was aged 92 years, 11 months and 10 days.

She came to Pennsylvania with her parents at the age of 2 years and settled in Hares Valley, where she grew to womanhood.

On February 9, 1864, she was united in marriage with John M. Querry, of Hares Valley, and spent the remainder of her life in Huntingdon county.

She leaves to mourn her passing four sons and three daughters, Frank Querry, of High Bridge, N.J., Ellis Querry of Altoona, Haas Querry and Alvah Querry of Huntingdon, Cora, wife of Michael Dell, of Mapleton Depot, R.D., Alice Querry, of Newark, N.J., and Ella Stever, of Cassville. One daughter, Florence, preceded her mother in death a number of years ago. Twenty grandchildren also survive.

Short prayer services were held at the Querry home at 1 o'clock on Monday afternoon, March 15, 1937, and upon the arrival of the funeral cortege at Bowman's Chapel Church, further services were held in charge of Rev. Maurice Kelly. Interment was made at the Bowman's Chapel cemetery.
