Polio claimed the life of infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Porath Monday September 1. The four-month-old baby passed away at the Fort Dodge hospital.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday Sept. 3, at the St. Peters Lutheran church. Burial was in the Newell cemetery, Rev. Richard Lammers officiated.
He is survived by his parents, one sister Linda, and one brother Larry. Also survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Porath of Newell and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Byers of Sac City, his great grandmother, Mrs. Sadie Terwilliger of Early and other relatives.
Organist was Melvina Schroder. Soloist was Mr. Harold Schreiber who sand "Tender Shepherd Thou Hast Stilled," and "Asleep In Jesus."
Pall bearers were Darwin Sievers, Donald Jilg, Richard Hoberman and Norman Porath.
Ladies in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Elma Nelson and Mrs. Hans Larson.
