Eddie Dewain Johnson, 78, of Madisonville, KY passed away September 19, 2021, at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville, KY due to Covid related illness.
Eddie Johnson was born on January 29, 1943, in Madisonville to the late Archie A. and Cleatis Johnson of Madisonville. He had retired from Madisonville Fire Department where he was employed for 28 years as a firefighter. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and watching his granddaughter play basketball and soccer. He also loved spending time with his great niece and nephew, Kaylee Rice and Dylan Rice. Eddie was an avid coon hunter in his younger years and loved the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman (Elva) Green of Madisonville and Lilly Brooke Johnson of Kingston Springs, TN.
Eddie Johnson is survived by his wife, Patricia Ellen Johnson, of Madisonville, KY; his son, Jimmy (Lisa) Johnson of Kingston Springs, TN; his granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Johnson, of Kingston Springs, TN; and his sister, Wanda (Norman) Myers of Oakley, CA.
A private graveside service will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, with Pastor Robbie Knox officiating. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
