Isaac Mark Smith, 31, of Convoy went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 2:10 PM on September 17, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital.

He was born on September 23, 1989, in Van Wert, to Jerry R. and Sandy (Kreischer) Smith.

Aptly named, Isaac means "one who laughs" which describes him to a tee. Isaac was a happy young man and always laughed. He was an absolute joy to his family and they were blessed to be chosen to be his parents. A true mommy's boy, Isaac and his mother shared a special bond. He was dealt many hardships as a young child and was an example of toughness throughout his journey.

Isaac attended Thomas Edison and graduated from Crestview High School. He looked forward to his time at CHP Adult Care.

Isaac enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers with his family, watching his sisters dogs play, and listening to the birds sing outside. He also liked walks outdoors and especially loved his family.

Isaac is survived by his parents: Jerry and Sandy Smith of Convoy, OH; grandmother, Gwendolyn Woods of Payne, OH; brothers: Ryan (Lindsay) Smith of Ashland, OH; J. R. (Heidi) Smith of Van Wert; Brandon (Stephanie) Kreischer of Peoria, IL; Noah Smith of North Platte, NE; sister, Rachel Smith of Convoy, OH; two nieces; 3 nephews; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: William Kreischer, AnnaBell Smith, Donald E. Smith and step grandfather, Paul Woods

Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Trinity Friends Church 605 N. Franklin St. Van Wert, OH 45891 with Pastor Steve Heilshorn officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.

Family and friends will be received prior to the funeral, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, at the church.
