Mrs. Lillian Bailey Hedges, 86, of 205 E. 77th, died Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Harrison, Ark., and had lived in this area 55 years. Mrs. Hedges was a member of the Country Club Christian Church. She was past president of the Kansas City Young Matrons and the Women's Council of the church. She had been housemother at Phi Kappa Psi and Zeta Beta Tau fraternities at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and at the Women's Dormitory at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Sidney H. Gabel, of the home; Mrs. Betty Bramson, 5212 W. 72nd, Prairie Village; and Mrs. Esther H. Anderson, Pullman, Wash.; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Mount Moriah Chapel; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the memorial fund at the Santa Fe Hills Baptist Church.
