She fought it wholeheartedly but passed peacefully with the aid of the wonderful doctors and nurses at Memorial Hospital and Hospice. She knew she was truly loved by her family who were fortunate enough to be with her in her last days on earth.
Gail was a longtime resident of Lookout Mountain having served 30 years with the Walker County, Ga. school system as secretary at the Fairyland School and was an active member of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church for over 50 years being an avid participant in bible study classes and a true servant of the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a dear friend to many, was quick-witted and a tremendous joy to be around.
Gail is survived by her husband Bob of 61 years; children Ed (Joann), John (Becky); sister Carolyn (Don) Nichols; three aunts, grandchildren, great grand-children, niece, nephew and their children.
Due to the current health crisis, there will be a private graveside burial service for the family at the Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden on Saturday September 25th at 1:00.
