Bobby A. Johnston, 84, of Yukon, Oklahoma died on Sunday, September 19, 2021. Bob was preceded in death by his father and mother, David and Opal Johnston; brother, David 'Davey' Johnston Jr.; mother in-law, Ruby Willis; aunt, Lucy Garcia; and brother-in-law, Mike Willis. He was survived by Rosi Johnston, his beloved wife and best friend of 64 years; three children, Mike D. Johnston and wife Shari of Yukon, Michelle R. (Johnston) Cosner and husband John of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and Adrian Johnston of the home; four grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Eric Johnston, Rani Selfridge and Jason Johnston; two great-grandchildren, Kylee and Mady Nowell; sisters, Barbara Robinson and Dee Miller; and sister in-law, Nancy Duvall. Bob served his community in both work and life as a member of the Victory Church in Warr Acres with wife, Rosi, and in law enforcement, as a Constable in Yukon, a reserve officer with both the Yukon Police and Canadian County Sheriff's Department, as a correctional officer at the FCI in El Reno and for 20 years as an investigator for the Oklahoma City Marshall's Office before retiring in 2004. Bob was a Master Mason at the Westwood Temple in Oklahoma City and served as Second Vice President of the OKC Fraternal Order of Police. For the past 21 years, Bob was a common sight at Mulvey's and Chisolm Trail Parks on his daily hikes no matter the weather - rain, sleet, snow or shine. Bob was a very loving and caring husband and father. It was rare to see Bob without Rosi, as they did almost everything together. Our dad was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing (even when they were not biting), time on the shooting range, snow skiing, riding motorcycles and his 4-wheeler in Colorado with Rosi and family. Bob has been called home. He is both young and strong again, is with friends and family he has not seen in many years and will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his friends and family. Due to COVID and other restrictions, a memorial service will be held early next spring. A date will be announced to family and friends. Arrangements were under the direction of Yanda & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Yukon.
