Martha Lou (Nelson) Reed, 86, passed away August 12, 2020 in Navasota, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM at Iola Church of Christ in Iola, Texas with Bro, Donny Chappell will officiate. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery In Bedias, Texas.
Martha was born in Houston, Texas to Louis Woodrow and Francis Olivia (Sonnes) Nelson. She graduated from Aldine High School and stayed in touch with her family and friends in the area. Martha loved her family, loved coloring books and she dearly loved her cat "Rita". She had retired to Iola where she was a faithful member of The Church of Christ where she found great comfort and joy.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Gene Nelson; her grandson Alexander Torres and her good friend's (Cheryl) daughter Denne Griffith.
Martha is survived her children Anthony D. Reed (Roxie), Jeffry S. Reed (Kelly), and Eric C. Reed (Louise); her grandchildren Kenneth Ryan Reed (Sydney), Zachary Reed, Liam Reed, Zoe Reed, Johnny Hunter (Angela), Dianna Arreola (Jonathan), Connie Ruiz, Michael Ruiz, Isaiah Ruiz, and Tyler Jensen; three great grandchildren; her close friend, Cheryl Griffith and her children Donald Wilzak and Shirley Willzak.
