A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Thomas Boyd and Mattie Jackson Boyd.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Cameron Currin. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.
Surviving are her granddaughter, Kristen Boyd (Zach) of Oxford; three great grandchildren, Aiden Boyd, Gunnar and Justin Long; sisters, Dot Faulkner (Barry) of Oxford, Scarlett Taylor (Eric) of Canton, brothers, James Boyd (Yvonne) of Bunn, Carlton Butch Boyd (Patricia), Nick Boyd (Shirley) of Oxford, Wayne Boyd (Donna) of Virginia and many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew "Scottie" Boyd, her lifetime companion, Judy Hart and a sister, Carolyn Freeman.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:45 PM prior to the service at Eakes Funeral Home and at other times at her home.
