Ryan "BOOMER" T. Carter, age 28 of Vandalia, Ohio passed September 16, 2021. He was born September 29, 1992 in Dayton, Ohio son of Shannon Carter.
Ryan was a loving father, devoted spouse to Kristen, loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, team mate, and friend. Ryan had a hard exterior but once you got to know who he was you knew he was a gentle giant. He was a hard worker and strived to be the best that he could. He was always willing to reach out to help others. Ryan also mentored numerous younger athletes with baseball throughout the years.
Ryan graduated Belmont High School in 2010 where he played Baseball and was the starting Pitcher and League MVP. He then furthered his education with an Associates degree from Sinclair Community College where he also played Baseball and went on to win the Division Championships. After Sinclair he went to UNOH on a full scholarship to play Baseball where he received his Automotive Degree. While at UNOH they won the Division Championships and went on to Nationals. Ryan also played for MVABL and numerous youth leagues. He also enjoyed playing football, basketball, and wrestled during his middle and high school years. Ryan was also a crew member with Alliance Autosport and enjoyed being down on pit lane working on the race cars and watching the races with his family and race team.
Ryan was preceded in death by his Papaw, Mitch Carter.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Shannon (Chopper) Carter; Love of his life, Kristen Nuckles; son, Reed Carter; fur babies, Daisy and Cash; sister, Kaylyn (Ethan Hardin) Textor; Mamaw, Sandy Carter; Bonus siblings, Nathayla Miller and Dallas Elofskey; God-mother, Denise (Joe) Violet; God-sister, Lacy (Shaun) Vamos; future in-laws, Donald and Stephanie Nuckles; The Nuckles Crew, Trisha, James, Logan, Aubrie, Matthew, Michaela, Mitchell, Janna, and Meghan; aunt and uncle, Steffanie (Jason) Swinford; cousins, Haley, Adam, and Tucker Swinford; special friends, Carlos Merlano-Ariza and Wayne Treece; Memaw and Pepaw, Edy (Peter) Wine; 2 half siblings, and biological father; as well as numerous other family members, team mates, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 11am to 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 1pm. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
