Gloria F. Thomas, 71, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev Mike Reeves and Dr. Don Whilhite officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, September 20, 2021 at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage everyone to make the best decisions to remain safe. If anyone wishes to attend the service, please remember to remain 6 feet apart from those not in your household and wear personal protective equipment.

Gloria was born October 9, 1949 in Montgomery, AL to the late Willis Graydon and Sarah Stephens Graydon. She was a weaver at The Bibb Company and an inspector at Swift Mills. She loved to bake, play card games and go shopping. She was a member of 2nd Baptist Church, taught children's church, Awana, Baptist Womens, involved with benevolence committee at the church and she loved spending time with her family. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Steve Graydon.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, William Thomas of Columbus, GA, children; William Thomas, Jr. (Linda) of Columbus, GA, Melvin Presley (Dawn) of Centerville, GA, David Emmert, Jr. (Susan) of Columbus, GA, Jackie Wilkes of Kathleen, GA Kimberley Rayburn (Chuck) of Columbus, GA, sister, Charlotte Hickman (Ron) of San Antonio, TX, brother, James Allen Graydon of Columbus, GA, Charlotte Graydon(sister-in-law) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren; Brandon, Hannah, Courtney, Zachary, Jessica, Savannah, Rachel, Alex, Jessica, Colton, Blaze, Cheyenne, great-grandchildren; Harper, Kynsleigh, Remington, Kyleigh, Bella, Jackson, Harper, Evie, Luca, Aliza, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Flowers will be accepted, those so desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 at or Shriners Club at 3202 Edgewood Rd, Columbus, GA 31907
