Emily Suzanne (Pawsey) Knox, affectionately known as "Mimi", went home in peace to be with the Lord on September 13, 2021, age 74. "Mimi" was born April 25, 1947, to Thomas S. Pawsey and Suzanne G. (Connors) Pawsey. Her parents preceded her in death, along with brother-in-law, Warren F. Ruchti.
Emily, "Mimi" grew up in Fremont, Ohio and graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1965.She then joined and honorably served in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman. After her time in the service, she turned her focus to raising her children. Emily then attended University of West Florida and procured a degree in Elementary Education. She was a devoted and proud member of Lakeview Baptist Church and very vocal about her love for the Lord. In Emily's younger days she loved to listen and dance to all the popular music of the 50's and 60's, but in later years she favored more of the traditional gospel favorites. Her favorite pastime was visiting and spending quality time with family and friends. Emily will forever be remembered for her sweet demeanor, warm smiles, and big heart.
Emily is survived by her loving four children, Lori (Jack) Easley of Ft.Walton Bch, Fl. ,Richard (Shaunna)Knox of Milton, Fl., Jennifer(Renwick)Avant of Pensacola, Fl.,and Christy Knox of Kyle, Texas. She also leaves behind her eight grandchildren; Megan, Joshua, Lena-Marie, Isaiah, Alisha, Joey, Elisa "Brownie", and Kenley, in addition her great-grandchildren; Cassidy, Leo, Ammon, Hazily, and Paisley Mei. Emily is survived also by her siblings, Thomas H.(Cris) Pawsey of Galion, Ohio, Mary(Doug) Davisson of Perrysburg, Ohio, Betsy(Bill)Alexander of Mansfield, Ohio and Rose Anne Ruchti of Athens, Ohio." Emily also leaves behind four nieces, seven nephews, many cousins, and a host of other family and friends who will miss her dearly".
